Bill 98, the Fare Alignment and Seamless Transit Act, would align fares and transfers across transit systems in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area so riders pay more consistent fares when crossing between agencies like the TTC, GO Transit and regional services. Supporters say it removes double fares and simplifies commutes. Opponents question the cost and how lost revenue would be covered. It is being debated provincially.
